Archetypes–one more week!


If you haven’t seen the photo exhibition Archetypes curated by Martin Hultén and Tim Meier, now is your chance! In the two gallery rooms works by the four photographers Klara Källström, Tim Meier, Martin Hultén and Thobias Fäldt are presented. Archetypes- opening this friday 6-10 pm


Detroit proudly presents the exhibition Archetypes, the first in a series of shows with the mutual name New Photography At Detroit. The opening is January 15 at 6 – 10 pm. and the gallery is open weekdays 12 – 5 pm. until January 30:th.

Works by four photographers will be shown on the exhibition. what unites these artists is a consideration and a great interest in the way the world looks, and how our view of it changes when we look at it as a photograph. The jungian concept archetype is here used as an invitation for the viewer to reflect over the contents of the picture and one´s own associations.

The artists participating are Klara Källström, Tim Meier, Martin Hultén and Thobias Fäldt.


Detroit on tour- group show in Turku

For the first time Detroit is travelling abroad with a group show of selected swedish artists presented at B-galleria in Turku, Finland. The participating artists are Crystal Beacon, Jim Thorell, Dölsie, Danilo Stankovic and Nadine Byrne. The exhibition consists of paintings, drawings, video and installation. Shooting Star magazine by Finn Öhlund and Flacon Records cassettes by Tobias Lund and Gabriel Harju are for sale in B-butik during the exhibition period. In April B-galleria are invited to curate a show in Stockholm.
